School for the Science of Health Care Delivery
Develop the skills to lead fundamental changes throughout all levels of the health care system
The School for the Science of Health Care Delivery prepares current and future health care workers to systematically address the critical and complex needs of the health care system. Through the interdisciplinary study of population health, patient-centered care, health economics, policy, data analytics and leadership, students gain the skills necessary to achieve value-based health care in pursuit of the Triple Aim. The school currently offers degrees in the fields of health care delivery science and medical studies at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education levels. All programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of students from various backgrounds and experience levels including entry-level, gap-year medical students, as well as those with ongoing careers in the health care field.
The School for the Science of Health Care Delivery has developed several strong collaborative relationships with various industry partners including a unique and ground-breaking partnership with the Mayo Clinic. Beginning in fall 2015, the Mayo Medical School (ranked by U.S. News & World Report as a 2017 Best Graduate School for both Research and Primary Care) integrated 18 credits from ASU’s Science of Health Care Delivery graduate program into its curriculum. This additional training provides the foundational knowledge for future physicians to lead the systematic changes necessary to produce higher-value health care.
