An innovative learning environment

Our VR team will guide you through every step — no prior VR experience needed!

The College of Health Solutions Virtual Reality Simulation Lab is an innovative learning environment designed to enhance training through virtual reality experiences. It features multiple simulation rooms equipped with high-performance PCs, VR headsets and observation stations to support both active participation and peer observation. The space is used by various academic units to facilitate realistic, scenario-based learning. By integrating technology with hands-on practice, the center promotes critical thinking, communication and decision-making skills in a safe, controlled setting.

Current VR scenarios through SimX

SimX is a leading virtual reality (VR) medical simulation platform designed to train healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and military personnel. With over 250 high-fidelity, immersive, and interactive patient scenarios, SimX enables learners to practice clinical skills in a safe and collaborative environment.

At the CHS VR Lab, we offer a range of simulated patient encounters through SimX. Current experiences include a diabetes case focused on nutrition and communication skills, sepsis scenarios, a women’s health case, and a community clinic experience emphasizing healthcare delivery, communication, and cultural competence.
