April 11, 2023

Are you looking for ways to get involved over the summer? Consider applying for the 2023 National Democracy Summer School and you can even select what campaign you would like to work with! This one-of-a-kind Democratic Fellowship program – founded by Congressman Jamie Raskin and expanded nationwide in a historic partnership with the DCCC – is dedicated to training the next generation of political activists and visionary leaders.

The program is searching for dedicated high school and college students!

This six-week program will take place from Monday, June 26, 2023 - Monday, August 7, 2023 and requires a commitment of 10-15 hours per week. Fellows will participate in exciting online seminars and a special curriculum designed by Congressman Jamie Raskin, while also organizing on the ground.

Throughout the academic portion, Fellows will learn from academic luminaries, political leaders, policy experts, issue advocates, and top community organizers from across the country. Past Democracy Summer speakers have included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Professor Laurence Tribe, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Rep. John Lewis, and Civil Rights leaders Bob Moses and Rev. William J. Barber II.

Not to mention, Fellows will also learn state-of-the-art skills in phone banking, text-banking, canvassing, fundraising, and voter registration — all the necessary ingredients for a thriving field operation! Take a look at the additional information on the application for the Fellowship.

The priority deadline to apply is April 14th, 2023.
