Kitchen Café

Kitchen Cafe chef and student cookingOpen during the fall and spring semesters, Kitchen Café is a not-for-profit eatery that trains  nutrition students enrolled in the Management of Food Service Systems course in the College of Health Solutions. Students hand-prepare, cook and serve meals to the general public at a reasonable price under the supervision of Chef Kenneth Moody, our instructional retail kitchen coordinator.

The café is open for breakfast and lunch and is located on the ground floor of the Health South building at 500 N. 3rd St. in Phoenix. Days and hours vary by term; check Facebook and Instagram for the current schedule. All meals are prepared in the state-of-the-art, energy efficient and environmentally sound Nutritional Instructional Kitchens, which are attached to the café.

Patrons of Kitchen Café enjoy tasty food, often following a specific theme, as they help teach students about food preparation, retail service and business operations.
