Weldon Johnson

Honoring Weldon Johnson, a masterful storyteller and cherished colleague

Weldon Johnson was more than our communications specialist; he was a quiet listener with a big laugh, a consummate storyteller, and a beloved colleague, friend, teacher, brother, and husband.

In September, we said goodbye to Weldon after his courageous battle with cancer, diagnosed less than two years ago.

Before joining the College of Health Solutions, Weldon built a distinguished career in journalism. At ASU, he not only crafted compelling stories about our college as part of the marketing and events team but also inspired future generations as a part-time instructor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
