Exploratory work on genomic knowledge text mining for personalized medicine. Within a framework of 3 months a system to detect associations between gene variants and phenotypes (disease, symptoms, and syndromes) mentioned in PubMed abstracts or included in other curated databases was implemented (such as the PharmGKB database and the OMIM/DAG database) by bundling a suite of tools developed Graciela Gonzalez.
