Our center’s full-time credentialed staff includes a registered nurse, diagnostic medical sonographer and radiologic technologist. Working closely alongside our medical director and faculty, their expertise ensures the highest level of precision, accuracy and participant safety during advanced level research procedures.
Ginger Hook, RN
Ginger is the Nurse Manager for the Health Lifestyles Research Center. Her background in clinical research spans 30 years, including nursing positions in General Clinical Research Centers at UCSD and Indiana University. She is a certified Diabetes Educator with 15 years of experience as a Lab Manager for grant funded diabetes research projects.
Theresa Jorgensen BA, RDCS (AE), RVT, RDMS (AB,BR)
Exercise Physiology Lab Manager/ Research Sonographer
Theresa has been involved in the academic aspects of sonography education as well as clinical ultrasound research for over 18 years. She is an active member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and American Society of Echocardiographers and has volunteered on several task force and committees. Theresa has authored and co-authored numerous products and publications on the clinical utility of ultrasound and lectures extensively national and internationally on the subject of cardiovascular sonography.
Veronica Zamora, R.T.(R)(BD)
Veronica is a radiologic technologist with over 15 years of experience and obtained additional certification as a bone densitometry technologist 12 years ago. Prior to joining the College of Health Solutions, she worked in hospital, orthopedic and family practice settings. Here at ASU’s Healthy Lifestyles Research Center Veronica performs dxa scans, IV line placement, phlebotomy, specimen processing and analysis.
Affiliated faculty members are from academic units outside of the College of Health Solutions and engage in research. Affiliated faculty members are transdisciplinary in their professional expertise and serve to enhance the capacity and relevance of the center’s research activities.
