2017 Institute

Interested in becoming a physician, dentist, physical therapist, optometrist, physician assistant, occupational therapist, or a healthcare provider? The Summer Health Institute @ ASU will provide students who have completed their junior year of high school the opportunity to live on the ASU Downtown campus for a week while experiencing a variety of inter-professional health-related activities including 3 hours of daily simulation at the ASU Simulation Center as well as the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix campus (suturing, IV’s, intubation, scrubbing, etc.), interactions with members of the health care team, and tours of health care facilities located within the health corridor of Arizona.

Location: ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus
Cost: All costs associated with the 2017 Summer Health Institute have been generously underwritten by Affiliated Dermatology, Dignity Health, and Creighton University School of Medicine, Phoenix Regional Campus at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. The only cost to participants is their travel to and from the camp.
Is this a residential program? Yes. You will be at the camp the entire week and living in Taylor Place. Open to in-state and out-of-state students who will be high school seniors during 2017-2018.

Notification: All applicants will be notified of their status on Friday, May 19th.
Participant Selection: Open to both residents and non-residents of Arizona. We will select 24 participants.

This is for 12th graders who will be graduating in May or June 2018.

Official high school transcript required. Applications will be considered incomplete without official high school transcript.
