The BS program in nutrition with a concentration in human nutrition provides students with a strong foundation in nutrition and science that prepares them for careers in public or community health programs and clinical or graduate research programs.
In addition to providing a strong foundation in medical nutrition therapy, the coursework includes anatomy, physiology, chemistry and microbiology. Students gain knowledge of nutritional concepts that health care professionals sometimes lack.

Graduates of the human nutrition program often go on to apply to medical school or another health profession. The area of nutrition research is also a good fit for human nutrition majors.
