Marcus Jones is the Assistant Director for Special Projects and Event Services at the College of Health Solutions. He is responsible for leading a team that produces over 60 events a year to highlight the mission of the College by producing community engagement opportunities, showcasing faculty and student research, and creating a student experience embedded in practice.
A native of Compton, California, Marcus moved to Phoenix in 2009 to pursue his education at ASU in Journalism. While there, he found his passion for higher education through working on campus and decided to dedicate his career to transforming the experiences of all at ASU.
Marcus is the past president of Meeting, Event Coordinators, and Associates, the professional staff organization for Event Professionals on campus. He is also a Certified Special Events Professional through the International Live Events Association. He has a five-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull mix, Picasso, that you can catch him hiking with on the weekends or lounging on the couch binge watching tv.
