Biography

Julia Pearl is an innovative educator, wellness consultant, and professional speaker. With a Master of Science in healthcare delivery from Arizona State University and over 25 years working in the wellness industry, Pearls scholarly education and extensive experience make her a distinguished wellness expert. Through evidence-based research, advanced skill and first-hand knowledge Pearl has developed exclusive wellness programs that focus on physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health.

As a lecturer within the College of Health Solutions at ASU, Pearl creates and delivers innovative curriculum to help students develop into successful health professionals. Pearl has a certification in Mindfulness Leadership from ASU, is a certified Wellness Lifestyle Coach from ASU, is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal trainer, an Aerobics Fitness Association of America (AFAA) certified group fitness instructor, a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider (YACEP) and a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), a designation that requires more than 5,000 hours of education and teaching in the field of yoga prior to 1999.

As a working mother who raised three boys, she teaches from personal experience about the challenges of juggling work/life balance. She is passionate about educating and inspiring busy professionals about the significance of self-care. She provides practical techniques to improve and enhance well-being so that you can be the best for your clients, loved ones, and yourself- ultimately creating and enjoying a fulfilling life!

Pearl, J. (November 2018) Evidence-based self-care to combat burnout. Arizona State University. Council of Academic Advisors Fall Conference. Provided a fun, interactive session while discussing evidence-based information about the impact of occupational burnout. Participants left feeling refreshed and encouraged with how to incorporate three specific strategies into their daily regimen to negate the effects of toxic stress while increasing productivity, resilience and supporting optimum wellness.

 

Pearl, J. (2018, March) Poolside Power Yoga 2018 Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference. San Diego, California. March 26-30. Taught an interactive movement session to attendees at the end of each day during the conference. The class incorporated mindfulness, yoga and breathing strategies to support various fitness levels.
