Health Talks: COVID-19 and Vulnerable Populations

Jun 04 2020 - 1:00pm

COVID-19 poses a greater risk not only to older adults who contract the disease, but also to those who lack the health care resources and social support needed for overall wellness. COVID-19-related mortality is very high among older adults, especially those living in assisted-care facilities.

Join us for a panel discussion that explores COVID-19’s impact on elderly populations. Topics include: How the pandemic is affecting older people differently than younger generations, the challenges for caregivers and what we can do right now to optimize the health of older adults in our communities.

ASU’s College of Health Solutions offers its Health Talks speaker series to inspire collaboration and conversation on important topics in health.
