Health Talks: From Bench to Bedside in the COVID-19 Era: The Role of Testing in Clinical Care and Public Health Surveillance

Sep 17 2020 - 12:00pm

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we will discuss what we’ve learned, what gaps remain in our knowledge for managing and treating this virus and how we might fill those gaps. Testing and data modeling play a critical role in our ongoing clinical decision-making and public health surveillance, yet it is challenging to keep up with what tests to use and how to use them. How can we use the knowledge we’ve gained to take a multi-disciplinary approach to both treatment and care for our patients, and to prevent disease in the population? How do we establish effective safety protocols? This health talk explores the many issues related to what science is telling us about how we can leverage testing tools to help manage the many challenges related to this disease.

ASU’s College of Health Solutions offers its Health Talks speaker series to inspire collaboration and conversation on important topics in health.

Each Health Talk is offered at no charge and approved for one Continuing Education credit.
