Biography

Eric Hekler is an assistant professor in the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion in the College of Health Solutions. he heads the Designing Health Lab. His group focuses on how to utilize new and emerging technologies (e.g., smartphones, wireless sensors, cloud computing, big data, etc) to promote better living through healthy behavior change with a particular focus on physical activity and healthful eating. Research Interests

My research program focuses on how technology and context can be utilized and harnessed to promote healthful living (e.g., physical activity & healthful eating). Im particularly interested in using interventions as experimental tests of theories along with exploring new methods and technologies (e.g., smartphones, cloud computing) for speeding up behavioral science.
