Christine Borst holds a doctorate in medical family therapy from East Carolina University and masters degree in marriage and family therapy from Purdue University. Before joining the ASU faculty full time, Borst spent several years as a behavioral health clinician, most notably working in a rural community health center to design and lead the implementation of an integrated model. She then worked for the Center of Excellence for Integrated Care (North Carolina) in various capacities for nearly four years, most recently as the interim executive director. Her research interests include integration beyond primary care, and the identification of the needs of families in rural pediatric integrated care. Borst and her husband, Greg (the other Dr. Borst), a trauma surgeon, live in Colorado with their two daughters (Eloise, 5, and Greta, 3), their son (Simon,1), and two dogs (Mabel and George). Forever on a quest for work/life/mom balance, Borst tries to carve out time to hike, do yoga, and draw/paint (all with or without the kids) :)
