Biography

Alexandra Bhatti has been an honors faculty associate at ASU since Fall 2015. She is currently contracted as a Public Health Attorney with the Public Health Law Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention located in Atlanta, Georgia. There, she is the portfolio lead for vaccination law and health insurance. The PHLP works to improve the health of the public by developing law-related tools and providing legal technical assistance to public health practitioners and policy makers in state, tribal, local, and territorial jurisdictions.

Prior to this, she was within the Office of the Associate Director of Policy, Office of Health System Transformation which sits in the Office of the Director at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention assisting with the launch of a new initiave (6|18) that aims to improve health care and health care costs. She was previously the Immunization Assessment Manager at the Arizona Department of Health Services in the Bureau of Epidemiology and Disease Control. She was with the Department of Health Services since 2012 where she began as a public health scientist performing research and clinical laboratory work.
