If you have parents or grandparents in their 50s, 60s, or older – or if you are yourself a student in your 40s or above – you are probably aware of the numerous ways that aging impacts people's lives

From active-adult retirement communities to Social Security and Medicare benefits, from long-distance grandparenting to caregiving for a person with dementia – aging issues permeate our society in ways they never have before.

There are numerous career opportunities for graduates with a degree or concentration in aging areas, including financial planning, recreation and tourism, management of care facilities, engineering and design, medicine and related fields, lifelong learning, government agencies, and social work.
